I.                   Administrative & Finance:

·        Barrington Bank and Trust infrastructure loan request has been approved by the bank and approval letter has been received.  Attorney review has been completed and we are awaiting final review by TLLCISI and the Finance Committee.

·        Review of the rules and regulations by TLLCISI is ongoing. 

·        The HUA auditors are in the process of working on a full audit of the 2009 HUA financials including golf operations.

·        The Finance Committee continues to meet with the purpose of updating the Six-Year Plan and preparation of the 2011 Budget.

·        There have been recent changes to the IL statutes as they pertain to Homeowner Associations.  We are working with our attorney to determine how these changes affect the HUA.

II.                Maintenance:

·        Organic Sediment Removal is in the process of finishing up the cleaning of ponds 7-10.  Collection bags will be stored south of pond 11 as agreed to by Fairway Ridge.

·        The wood rot issues at the Hidden Hills Recreation Center have been addressed and all work has been completed.  Our Maintenance team will continue to monitor the repairs and will keep us apprised of any future wood rot and structural integrity. 

·        The wood repair and painting at of the deck at the StoneyBrook/Cambridge Recreation Center is in process and should be completely shortly.

      III.             Other:

·        On August 17, there was an incident on the property that involved a car burglary and resulted in a shooting injury to one of our residents.  Please report future suspicious activity to our security staff at (847) 362-3255.  However, in an emergency situation please dial 911 immediately.

Memo from Al Villasenor, Community Manager, August 24, 2010  -  Recent Events in our Community

Its been my first week at my new post here at the helm of HUA.  The week has been an interesting one, to say the least.  There have been some recent events in our community which many have found disconcerting.

For those that do not know what I am referring to, during the week of August 16, 2010 through August 22, 2010, there was a shooting and a fire on the property.  I am limited as to what I can disclose regarding the issues.  However rest assured that both appear to be isolated incidents and business should continue as usual for most of us.

The point of the memo is twofold:

1. I can’t stress enough, if you notice anyone or anything suspicious … PLEASE call our Security staff at       (847) 362-3255 or the Gurnee Police Department at (847) 599-7000.  In an emergency call 911.

2. Let’s give a special thanks to the resident Ben Moon, Chief Wayde Akers and his Security staff for their efforts on Friday night August 20, 2010, with respect to the fire at the 920 building and the evacuation of the residents.
