Bob Marcus, our Community manager is on medical leave.  He is anticipated back at the end of February.  Ms. Paula Weiner, from Summit Management, has been filling in for him and things are running smoothly in the office as always.

On February 22, 2007, HBIS Engineering had a meeting with Jason Shamrock on the spillway project.  As information is available, HUA Board members will be notified.

Ms. Cathy Hawkins has been appointed as our new Social Director.  She has lived in HeatherRidge for almost 30 years and is very familiar with the social functions, neighborhood association, rules, amenities, etc., at HUA.  She has many years experience in the restaurant, bar and hospitality business, both in the front lines and in management.  She will be looking at additional ways to generate more usage (revenue) at the CRF and Clubhouse while not impinging on traditional resident functions.  Positive suggestions would be appreciated by her.  She can be reached at (847) 680-7350.

The modified system of running the Social Activities operation is running smoothly.  Deborah Garcia now handles collecting and accounting for revenue and expenditures; inventory and ordering of all supplies and beverages.  She also reviews invoices and writes out checks for our suppliers and bartenders, and balances the Social Activities checkbook.

I wish to commend Sam Dent, Kathy Dernell, and Cathy McGrath for all their help during the transition period.
